Young people experience loss through many ways including death, family break-up, break-down in relationships, death of a pet, foster care or adoption or family illness. Issues of loss are often at the root of some behavioural patterns: poor school attendance, anxiety attacks, angry and violent outbursts and poor concentration levels.
This 4-week course, which is led by trained staff, runs during the school day and covers basic concepts and strategies in relation to stress and teaches how to have positive coping habits. Students are referred by school staff.
