We have made some minor improvements to the Pavilion. This includes an internal door enabling the 2 ends to be used together or independently; a window looking out onto the Rec; opening up the end room for storage (with the unexpected added bonus of a second toilet); and still to be done putting up guttering to stop us all from having a shower as we come into the building when it is raining. With thanks to Oliphant Construction for carrying out this work for us and Cllr Eamonn Keogh (Veracity Trust) for funding the work with grant funding previously received from Southampton City Council.

We are so grateful to James and Seb, from Parker’s Electrical, who responded to our recent post asking for an electrician to put additional sockets into Veracity Pavilion and to reconnect the power supply to the container. Thanks to James’ quick response the work was carried out last week taking us another step closer to being ready to start using the whole pavilion

We were very sad to see the graffiti that has appeared on the Pavilion over the weekend. Thank you to everyone who notified us about it. We are excited that we have a street art project with Joe Ross Good Idea Today to create a design for the building during August.
We are working really hard to get the Pavilion ready to be used more by the community. If you’d like to donate towards the resources that we need in order to achieve this, such as guttering, please use the Donate page on our website to donate via paypal and enter Veracity as a note.

We’re really excited to share some great news for youth and community work at Oasis Community: East Southampton.
Over recent months, we have been exploring how best to see our vision for youth and community work in Sholing flourish and grow. We’re delighted to say that we are now moving forward in exploring a partnership with St Mary’s Church Sholing.
This is a really encouraging step for us as it will give us the opportunity to build on our partnership with Veracity Life, whose heart and vision is about serving our community – especially children, young people, and families.
Together this partnership offers us the opportunity to see their original vision strengthened and sustained for the long term. As well as unlocking new opportunities for us to build youth work and community activities to widen support for people of all ages.
